The round chimney caps are used for either a round clay single flue or a metal or "double-wall" chimney system.
If your flue is below the crown ( the cement top of most chimneys ) or in poor shape, in the case of the clay flue, the masonry round cap will need a "leg kit" for proper installation.

Round clay & masonry stock sizes	Will fit outside of :
5" Round	4 3/4" to 7 1/4"
6" Round	5 3/4" to 8 1/4"
7" Round	6 3/4" to 9 1/4"
8" Round	7 3/4" to 10 3/4"
10" Round	11 3/4" to 13 1/4"

And remember, measure twice order once.

If you are burning wood, a 5/8" spark arrestor mesh can be used, check your local Code.

Sometimes the most economical solution to a chimney flue downdraft, wind related puff back or chimney odor problem is a simple chimney cap.
